Happy Birthday Big Bruder!

Why hello there!

First of all, I hope you are all doing great. I hope you are all having the times of your lives. And I hope you are all having a great time preparing for the Holidays. I know I am... I have been listening to Christmas music all week long when we are at the apartment. And then when we aren’t, Elder Garay and I are singing it in the streets. Haha.

Well anyways, we just got back barely from our last lesson with Eduardo before his baptism tomorrow. He is so great! I am so excited for tomorrow. He is very prepared and has an incredible testimony and really wants to just help out in everything. He is also quite the business man. The missionaries here have been teaching him for about 5 months, but he hasn’t been able to get baptized because the only days he is here is Sunday because he is always traveling for work. He gives workshops and conferences about working as a team and other business stuff all around Mexico, the USA, and further down south. He has changed his schedule all around so that he can always be here Sundays for church. He has even offered us to give the mission workshops in all that stuff. He right now has 3 masters degrees and is now working on his doctorate. All I have to say is he is a very smart guy. He will be a great member of the church. One willing, ready, and able to help and serve.

That is how all of us need to be; willing, ready, and able to serve.

Well this week was great. It was fun getting to know Elder Garay and getting used to his funny little quirks. He is a great missionary and a great companion. We are going to have a lot of success I feel. This week, we spent a lot of time with the members working with them. And well, it is starting to pay off. The members are starting to get a little bit more excited about mission work and are starting to understand the importance of doing it. This week, we pretty much dropped everybody because they aren’t progressing and started over in searching. It was a lot of fun and we had a bit of success. We are really excited to see how it goes with some of these people we met this week.

We had a really great zone conference this week. And well I was able to learn a lot of things and focus in on the areas that I need to improve.

Well, this week is well the birthday of Reed and I. You know, I am so thankful that I get to share my birthday with my big brother. And I am so thankful that we can both be out serving our missions at the same time. As I have been thinking this day about him and I and well our relation through the years, I have looked back on all the moments big and small that helped change me into who I am today. I am so thankful for him and the example that he is to me today.

I was thinking about what I could give this week as a birthday present to him, and I came to the conclusion that simply enough, I am going to give absolutely all I can. I am going to join him in the power of missionary work. I am positive that he is continuing on in his missionary work on the other side of the veil, we can honor him this week by doing the same and giving all we can to missionary work.

I really do love you all. You are all incredible. Thank you for your example and thank you for being there for me always.

With love,

Elder Tommy Anderson
