Why hello there!
Well it was just another great week full of miracles. I love this work. Sorry I wasn't able to write yesterday, we just had lots of stuff going on and I didn't have time to get to it. But like I said this was just a great week. There were most definitely some highlights and a few down points, but out of those down points we are made stronger right?
Yesterday and today, we have been able to study a bit more of the work of salvation broadcast that was given on Sunday night. Wasn’t that thing incredible? I loved so much everything that they said. I really liked the emphasize of how the missionaries and the members need to be more united, and how they showed just how simple and easy it is to share the gospel in everyday experiences. I really liked the video of "I’ll go where you want me to go". That was really cool and really motivating. I just wish that it was in spanish so that I could share it with all the members in my ward!
While exploring the new website I found a few things that I really like. I hope you guys can all check out the website and learn more about how you can participate in the work of salvation.
I like this quote: “Wishing will not make it so. The Lord expects our thinking. He expects our action. He expects our labors. He expects our testimonies. He expects our devotion.” President Thomas S. Monson
One thing that this quote helps us understand is that all the wishing and praying that there will be a baptism or that the missionaries will have work will not do anything unless we ourselves put our efforts into it and show our faith through our actions. I really hope that this training will make a difference because as we can all see, the Lord is hastening His work. It is incredible to see His Hand here too.
This week I had a cool experience with seeing the hand of the Lord in this work. So as I had told you guys last week, we had an investigator named L. He is a homicide investigator cop and well to put it into other words, he had a busy week. From everything that was happening, it looked like we weren't gonna be able to see him an be able to finish all of the teaching and get the interview and have time for the baptism and everything. We were all loosing hope honestly. But then as a companionship we all offered a fast. We worked as hard as we could and did everything we could. On Saturday night, we get a phone call and it is his friend who is the member who gave us the referral and she got everything organized. Everything just fell into place and we were able to have a great baptism Sunday morning right before the services.
It is incredible to see how God works and how he will help us out, if we show our desire, and work for it. I love being a missionary. Miracles are seen daily. I know this is His work and I am thankful to be a part of it.
