What An Incredible Week!

Well basically I want to start off by just saying, I think this was the best week so far of my mission.

First of all, I learned how to make tortillas! But much much better than that, we saw miracles. We saw incredible help. And we saw incredible success. Right now we have 10 people with baptismal dates who are preparing for these next couple weeks. We have found some incredible people lately! This area is just exploding thanks to hard work, diligence, faith, and of course the help of our Almighty God. Some of the highlights this week were first of all the concert that we did. It was just so great!

The whole day it was a complete downpour, like real bad. And here in Mexico, the people don't leave the house at all when it is raining, because it is basically mud up to the knees. Well anyways, some miracles happened and we had a great turnout. I thought it was an incredible metaphor; inside we were secured and nurtured by the word of God, but outside you were stuck in the torments of the world. Just a nice little thought to chew on.

So the concert went great and we had some great support. After the concert we had a baptism of Venica and Naylea. The dad/husband is a member of a long time, but after they got married they turned inactive and recently just started coming again. It was honestly such an incredible moment to be there in that baptism. There was such an incredible spirit there! I think my favorite part was when he told me that this day (baptismal) has finally came, but that one more date just showed up on their calenders (the temple)!

I love the Gospel! It honestly is the best thing ever! I just love how God really does care for us so much that he gives this stuff so that we can progress and  as it says in 2 Nephi "have joy".

Elder Lundberg and I are doing great! We both have a ton of desire to just work and get things done. We are starting to see just so much success like I was saying. God is really doing a wonderful work here in Mexico.

I am so grateful that I can be here and serve my fellow brothers and sisters. The Church is true. This Gospel is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This is His work and I am so privileged to be a part of it. I thank you all so much for your love and support in all. I honestly just hope that all of you can continue on in the Gospel. Study, pray, read, go to Church. These are the ways that God has given us so that we can be strengthened, blessed, and fortified. I love you all and hope and pray for the best of each of you. Be great and remember who you are.

With love,
Elder Tommy Anderson
