Catwoman

Why hello there! Happy new week to each of you all!

I hope you all had a great Presidents day and Lincolns Birthday. My companion and I definitely celebrated it here by listening to patriotic music.

Haha well once again this week has been great! We have found a lot of new investigators this week and had a lot of progress with some that we have had. Sadly, I think my time here in this ward is winding down to its end. Next week are transfers, so I am so excited to just give it all I have this week and just work hard!

This week I got a little sick, but after not being able to eat for a while I am feeling and doing great now! Father I think you would be proud of me, I ate sushi this week, and i liked it!

Yesterday I had a great time because the stake President asked another elder and myself to do a musical number in las Fuentes, the first ward I started out in in the mission, because they were getting a new bishop and also changing the ward boundaries. It was so cool to go back and see all the people I taught and knew there. It was great to see people that I taught there now flourishing. While there Elder Anderson (the other) played the violin and I played the piano and sang the song "I Know That My Redeemer Lives". It went really well and I loved the fact of just how we were able to share our testimony of the Savior through song. Presidente Carreon was there and was asked to speak a little and did a great job about helping the people realize the need for changes in the church and also the importance of being completely obedient.

We also this week were able to finish up this house we were working on. Some members got together and were able to pitch together and buy the rest of the material needed. We put the roof on Saturday. It was pretty funny though, the brother is not a very light man, but sure thinks he is and was just up flying all over the roof which not even I should stand on. My companion was calling him Catwoman for his flying around. haha.

Well really this week was a great one. We have been focusing ourselves a lot more these past few weeks in working more with the members and it is incredible the differences that we have seen. The work is accelerating here and I am so thankful to be here and be a part of it. As we saw, this last week there were 58 new missions opened up in the world (8 here in Mexico). This work really is progressing because the time of the Lord is getting sooner and sooner.

I love being a missionary. I hope each of you can find the joy in sharing the gospel with those around you. There really is no better work than this one, and that is because it is true. This is the true Church of Jesus Christ, it is Him that we represent, and I love it.

Have a loverly week one and all! I love you all so much!

Elder Tommy Anderson
