I love being a missionary!!!

Wow! Well this was just another one of those great weeks. Like I said, I absolutely love being a missionary!!

So this week some of the highlights have been... So I am directing the ward Relief Society choir for a couple of songs... wow. Thats all I have to say haha.

So on better notes, on Sunday we had the baptism of G., S., and R. which went just super great! We had a lot of people there including other members of their family. We had a couple other investigators all there and so yeah. Just super great stuff!

On Thursday, which was valentines day, Elder Lundberg and I went and bought flowers and took them around to all the single and widowed women. It was a great opportunity to serve and feel that love that God has for each and every one of His children.

On Saturday we had a youth come with all day long and well, you could just say it was an interesting day.

We had some crazy wind storms this week and so we went and helped cut down some fallen over trees and also after we went and helped again with the house of the familia B..

There were just so many great little things of the week, but there were some just one very powerful moment in particular that I would like to write about.

So on Sunday, my companion and I were invited to speak in church and well I spent the week kinda thinking and reading looking for a good topic when I came across one again the talk by Elder Carl B. Cook in the October 2011 General Conference. This talk from the moment I read it, stood out and I knew that it was this topic that I was supposed to speak on. His topic was dealing with how to confront trials in our lives. As President Monson taught him, "It is better to look up." I was able to share the message from the talk as well as some personal experiences from my life that have taught me. I can honestly say, in this moment I was guided more by the Spirit than in any other moment that I can remember.

As you all know, I am not a crier, but the Spirit had even me this time. I am so thankful for a loving Heavenly Father that gives us the Holy Ghost and a Prophet to guide us through all of our difficult times. I am so thankful that  I know that God loves me. I know that just as President Monson said, "It is better to look up" when the hard times come. When we look up is when the guidance and counsel can come down. I hope we all can remember that when we don’t understand or we don’t know what to do, we must look up and seek the guidance of our loving Heavenly Father.

Once again, I love being a missionary. I love these experiences and blessings that I have had and experienced. I hope you all have an incredibly wonderful week. Know that I love you all and am praying constantly for you.

Elder Tommy Anderson
