A Treat From Tijuana

Tommy's Letter:

Why hello there!!! Well we have got a few shout outs first of all... Congrats to Chrissy McKell for getting accepted into the BYU School of Music!! That is a huge accomplishment! And congrats / good luck to Miss Emma Jane Lloyd who is leaving on her mission this week! Good luck!

Well anyways this has been a pretty good week. It was definitely a week of lots of learning and personal growth. This week we continued our work on the house, but are now out of material and money, so we are kinda on a stand still.

This week we had a great zone conference where we learned a lot about the website mormon.org. It really is such a cool website with incredible help. It is made so easy so that everyone can share the Gospel through this site. We are super excited to be able to use it a bit more and well I invite you all to use it also!

So this week we had some big disappointments. The familia Dias were gonna get baptized this week, but the dad wont give his permission. So we are continuing to work over there and do everything we can. This week we also had our district meeting and we talked about the importance of the members in missionary work. It honestly is so true. Us full-time missionaries could never do this work if it weren't for the members. Thank you all for all you do to help out the missionaries!!!!

So I am also now conducting a Relief Society choir here in the ward which is... fun/interesting. You should just hear them :)

So we have also been having a lot of success lately with some stubborn eternal investigators. We have been able to see some huge improvement and progress in lots. I am so excited to see what these coming weeks bring!

So yesterday, Elder Lundburg and I had to teach the lesson in Gospel Principles. The lesson was on the creation and it was so great and incredible to study this topic. Studying the creation really made me realize the love that God has for each and every one of us. Just think about it, why do we have flowers, the sound of birds, the nice breeze, beautiful colors. Think, now what purpose do those things really have? The answer is to make us happy. God loves us so much that He has given us everything. He wants us to enjoy it. I hope we can slow down a bit and start to enjoy and realize the love that God continually shows to us.
I love you all so much and hope you each have an incredible week! Be great and remember who you are! Thanks for your love and support!
