General Conference!!!!

Why hello there!

How are we all doing? Wasn't this week just the best?! Between a baptism, and General Conference, this week was just the best!

Well, this Tuesday, we were blessed to have the baptism of Liz this Tuesday which was just the best. She is so golden and completely ready. We were able to confirm her in between sessions Sunday at the stake center.

So this week we also started giving two classes at the chapel; a how to study the scriptures class and an English class. Wow, that is fun/ hard to teach. I never thought I would have to be an English teacher, but well the day has come.

On Thursday I was able to go on companionship exchanges with Elder Perez in Otay and I learned lots of things. We visited a recent convert who is heading in for Chemo tomorrow and we helped him shave his head to get ready and just give support. It was really sad. I have never meet so many people with cancer. I don’t know what it is here, but I have worked with so many people that have it.

Well the highlight of the week was General Conference. I absolutely loved it. We spent all of our day Saturday and Sunday at the stake center. There were a few things that I just really loved. Most specifically; "I'm a Mormon. I know it, I live it, I love it!" That was just my favorite of everything. She was exactly right how we all need to be a little bit more courageous in how we represent ourselves. I loved Elder Scott's talk also about stop doing things that don’t really matter and start doing things with "eternal consequences".

We are too often caught up in the world of Facebook, Youtube, or video games that we do not pay attention to what really matters in the world. There was and is so much that we can learn from General Conference. I like President Monson invite all of you to look over the Ensign that will come out or the videos of the conference and study it more thoroughly.

I promise you that you will find those things that you need in your life.
Trust me. Just like Elder Nelson said, "Ask a missionary" :) Haha.

Well I hope you all have a great week! I love you all sooooooo much!

Elder Tommy Anderson
