Why hello there everyone! I hope that you have all just had a great
week and that everything is treating you all just great.
This week has
been very wonderful. For one, it has cooled down very much and now it
actually feels like fall. I even put on my sweater a few times this week
and threw another blanket on my bed! I love fall.
So this week we had
some good success. We have a few people on the docks about ready to jump
into the water. We had some really cool lessons this week where you
just knew that they could feel the Spirit testifying to them.
Well, I
thought it would probably be good to inform y'all that the Spanish pretty
much is just great. Now a days it really isn't a problem. It is funny
because the people we are contacting think that I am a Mexican because I don't have a "gringo" accent. So hey that is great right? I just need to
work a lot more on widening my vocab so that I can understand and say
more.
This week we had interviews with Presidente Carreon and they were
just great. He really is an incredible president and I have a lot of
respect for him and what he is doing. He gave some really great counsel
and some great advice.
Lets see, one thing that was just really sad, but
helped me understand and learn more happened yesterday at church. We
were in Sacrament Meeting and the meeting started and there was like 15
people there. Here in Mexico, when it is time for the Sacrament, they
shut the door and lock it. So if you aren't there before you will not be
able to participate in the Sacrament. So we had the Sacrament with about
20 people in the room and the Spirit was so incredibly strong and I was
able to focus in on the covenants that I have made and the opportunity
to renew them with the Sacrament. Then afterward, the Sacrament ended
and in walks about 50 people. It just made me so sad that so many people
would not wake up the extra 10 minutes earlier to be there on time. The
Sacrament it the whole reason we go to church.
I am so thankful that we
have such an incredible ordinance. I love the Gospel. I am so thankful
for it and the peace and comfort it gives me in my life.
Well I've gotta
go. I love you all!
