"Thou Art The Christ"

Why hello there!!! How are you all doing this fine day? It has been another real great week but not a whole lot new. For one, I heard that Grandmas birthday party was the social event of the year! So once again, happy happy birthday!

In our area we are starting to get a bit more success and we were able to find some more new investigators this week. The biggest thing that we are doing is working with the members. It is definitely a pretty stiff ward so we are trying to lighten them up and get them to be a bit happier and friendly in the ward so that they will then be able to help others out. That is one thing that I have realized here in the mission, it is a little hard to help change people when you yourself wont change. For that, I have put a goal here in my mission of every night just think about the day, what I did and in what ways could I improve so that I can better help others. It has helped me a lot I feel like. With the members we are starting to see a change and there are a few that have started to work real well. It is some pretty cool stuff.

This week I have had a little bit of free time here in the office cause I´ve got all caught up on everything. So I’ve been watching a few of these new Bible Videos on lds.org. There is a new video that fascinates me. It is when Peter testifies that Jesus is "the Christ, the Son of the Living God". As I said, this video is so incredible to me for the pure and powerful testimony of Peter. I think a lot of people here in this world recognize Jesus as a great and powerful person. Many recognize Him as a superior being, but I think few people in this world understand how Peter did, what it means that Jesus is The Christ, the Son of the Living God. I am so thankful for the chance that I have to be on a mission to learn a bit more of what Peter taught. I am thankful that I have been able to come to a knowledge more sure and more powerful of my Savior Jesus Christ.

I invite all of you this week to think and study of this testimony of Peter that is found in Matthew 16:13-19, and the video found on, https://www.lds.org/media-library/video/bible-videos-the-life-of-jesus-christ?lang=eng#2011-10-049-thou-art-the-christ and really contemplate in what importance his words really have. I know that Jesus lives, that He is the Son of the Living God, and that it is only through Him that we can be saved. I love this work. And I love my Savior.

I love you all! Take care!

Elder Tommy Anderson
